CALLING ALL EMERGING SCHOLARS of JEWISH EDUCATION!

Are you an advanced doctoral student, past the proposal stage of your dissertation or within 5 years of completing it?! Then this is a great opportunity for you!

NRJE is once again holding its Emerging Scholars Mentoring Seminar in conjunction with the annual conference. The goals of the seminar are:

(a) to create a supportive professional network among mentors and emerging scholars; and

(b) for emerging scholars to hear the behind-the-scenes stories of how to succeed as a productive researcher in the field.

Emerging scholars will speak with individual mentors and connect with peers and other mentors in group discussions and activities. As one 2017 Fellow stated, “We (my mentor and I) each do important work to build the knowledge base of the Jewish people, but without an opportunity such as this seminar we may never have interacted to talk shop and, in my case, seek advice.”

The seminar will run from 2 to 8 pm on Sunday, June 10 (the day before the start of the NRJE conference). There will also be some meeting time during the morning and afternoon of Monday, June 11. The seminar will take place at George Washington University.

Applications are due by Friday, March 2, 2018. Click here for more information.
